This year, more than 800 participants presented their products at MosBuild 2022 in 15 segments of the market – from construction materials and tools to furniture and decorations. Companies from 20 countries of the world took part in MosBuild, including large delegations from China, Turkey and India. The Exposition registered 56,622 individual visitors.

Two unique special projects were the main points of attraction at the Exposition: the Decorium Project combining 4 Trend Zones (Textiles, Paints, Decorations and Wallpapers) designed by well-known Russian architects, artists and designers, and Trend Gallery by AM-Group, a unique platform for demonstration of the latest plumbing trends. The business program of the Exposition included 4 Content Zones covering the target audience of the construction and finishing materials market: designers and architects, manufacturers and suppliers, builders and DIY network specialists. The program featured more than 50 speakers. 7,982 visitors were registered as lecture listeners.

Decorium were active for the entire 4 days of the Exposition, and featured an intensive lecture course and 4 Trend Zones designed by famous Russian designers and architects. Each Trend Zone was dedicated to one type of product: decorations, wallpapers, textiles, and paints.

The Decorium zone itself and the ‘Paints’ Trend Zone design projects were developed by Eduard Yeremchuk, one of the brightest young architects of Russia who currently works internationally. Katya Pyatitskaya, an interior designer and the Laroque brand founder, partnered with Yeremchuk in this project. Tikkurila Colour Studio acted as a partner for the‘Paints’ and ‘Textiles’ Trend Zones. The ‘Textiles’ Trend Zone will be presented bu Daria Vasilkova, the founder of Art Group design studio. Together with Decorium’s strategic partner, the Espocada company, the designer is going to present at MosBuild 2022 an environmentally friendly project, which concept is hinged on creation of unique interior features using scraps of textile, tiles and cardboard. Some of the features of the ‘Textiles’Trend Zone: a modular sofa custom-made by Cascate using Daria’s drawings and featuring removable covers made of denim and scraps of textile used for interior finishing; dressers decorated with tile pieces; mirrors and armchairs made of recycled cardboard and decorated with tile pieces, created in collaboration with designer Ulyana Khokhlova, the winner of the ‘Designed and Made in Russia’ Award; and more.

The ‘Wallpapers’ Trend Zone was designed by a well-known Russian painter Gleb Skubachevsky represented at the Exposition by ASKERI GALLERY. KERAMA MARAZZI is the official partner of the ‘Wallpapers’ Trend Zone.

The ‘Decorations’ Trend Zone is the result of partnership between EUROPLAST Company and Viktor Dembovsky, a designer and architecture historian.

The 27th Exposition of construction and finishing materials MosBuild also featured the Xth Anniversary DIY Forum. The key subject of the Forum in 2022 was “Market of Construction and Finishing Materials and DIY Trade – New Era and New Reality”. More than 20 speakers and 300 delegates, top managers and specialists of DIY networks, manufacturers of do-it-yourself construction and finishing materials and products took part in the Forum. The Forum was arranged by the MosBuild Expo and the INFOLine Analytical Agency. The Unitile Group of Companies served as the general partner of the Forum. Cersanit and ARCHITILE were the official partners.

One of the key events of the Forum was the plenary discussion involving DIY networks top managers, which raised the most relevant issues in today’s DIY operation, relationships with suppliers, the DIY category growth, etc.

Talking about anti-crisis measures, Andrey Krivosheev, the Robert Bosh Company Sales and Marketing Director for Russia, noted that in the current situation all market players had to emphasize their key competencies: ‘Manufacturers must focus on continuation of operating activity and preservation of jobs’. Tarkett Development Director Tatyana Kuznetsova thinks that availability of consistent range of goods that can be sold quickly is critical for current situation:‘We have to make offers on our products in different price segments. The only thing we are postponing now is the launch of any new products’.

In uncertain environment, personal meetings and an opportunity to share winning strategies are especially important. Vladimir Gordeev, the Commercial Director of the Unitile Group of Companies, highlighted that the MosBuild Exposition and DIY Forum were unique platforms for live interaction and identification of global ideas which can be subsequently applied by many market players.
