图书馆是同学们喜欢去的场所之一。不管你们是借书者还是图书管理员，都会不可避免地碰到一些问题，但是这些问题用英语怎样表述呢？如果我们不了解，就很难脱口而出，所以下面这些句子也许你们会用得上。

【图书借阅常用语】

1.I’d like to borrow an English book. 我想借一本英语书。

2.Can you find me a book about the history of English？ 我可以借一本有关英语发展史的书吗？

3.Where are the math books located？ 数学书在哪？

4.Could you recommend me a book to read？ 您能给我推荐一本书吗？

5.I’d like to renew it for another week. 我想再续借一个星期。

6.When are they due back？ 要什么时候还？

7.I would like to apply for a library card. 我想申请一个借书证。

8.What time does the library close today？ 图书馆今天什么时候关门？

【图书管理员常用语】

1.Are you looking for anything special？ 请问您在找什么资料吗？

2.Are you looking for any books or information？ 您要找什么书或信息？

3.Here are the books you need. 这是您要的书。

4.I strongly recommend you … in this library. 我强烈向您建议本馆的……（资料）。

5.I am sorry. You need a library card to check out the books in this room.

对不起，您需要办借书证才能借这里的书。

6.Please check out at the service desk. 请到服务台办理借书手续。

7.You may borrow two items at any time. 您一次只能借两本。

8.You can keep it for a month. If you haven’t finish it when it is due， you can have it renewed.

您可以借一个月，如果到期了还没有读完，您可以续借。

9.This library is available from 8：00 a.m. to 8：00 p.m. every day.

图书馆的开放時间是每天早上8点到晚上8点。

【图书馆管理常用语】

1.Please don’t use a cell phone for conversation. 请不要在阅览室内打电话。

2.The phone should be switched off or set to silent mode. 请将手机关掉或调至静音状态。

3.Please keep/be quiet. 请保持安静。

4.Be sure to keep personal belongs safe. The library will not be held responsible for any loss.

请保管好您的财物。图书馆不为任何遗失负责。

【情景对话一】

A： Good morning. How can I help you？ 早上好。有什么能帮您的吗？

B： Hi， I am looking for some books for my paper writing. 您好，我写论文需要一些书。

A： OK. What kind of books do you need？ 好的。您需要什么类型的书？

B： I need some books about Education. 我需要一些有关教育的书籍。

A： Well， we have many books and they are on shelf labeled F8. 好，我们有一些这类书籍在书架F8上。
