ZTERecognized for Industry Best Practices as Frost&Sullivan's SDR Equipment Vend

ZTECorporation announced on February 9 that it had received the Best Practice Award for being Frost&Sullivan's“2010 SDREquipment Vendor of the Year.”This award recognizes ZTE's outstanding contribution to the development of Software Defined Radio(SDR)technology and the wireless communications industry.

At the end of 2010,shipments of ZTESDRbase stations exceeded 700,000 units,triple that of 2009.ZTE was the first in the world to introduce the SDRbase station platform and also the first to realize its commercial application.The SDRbase station platform supports GSM,UMTS,CDMA2000,TD-SCDMA,FDD LTE,WiMAX,and TDDLTEwireless access modes on a single hardware platform.

In recent years,ZTEhas achieved comprehensive breakthroughs in the wireless communications market by leveraging the cutting-edge capabilities of this new platform.In Europe,ZTEhas mass-delivered SDRbase stations to KPN,Telenor,Telefonica,Optimus,and H3G.In China,ZTEis ranked first in new UMTSmarket share and second in total market share.

ZTEcontinues to be the largest shipper of CDMA products.Its WiMAXproducts have been adopted by mainstream operators such as KDDI,Clearwire,and Telefonica.ZTE's LTEproducts have also been accepted for commercial application and test networks in 12 countries.

ZTE's SDRbase station is now deployed in Germany and is used by more than 60 operators in countries such as Belgium,Spain,Portugal,Poland,Turkey,Japan,Russia,Canada,and the U.S.
