His name was Fleming,and he was a poor Scottish farmer.

One day,while trying to make a living for his family,he heard a cry for help coming from a nearby bog （沼泽）.He dropped his tools and ran to the bog.

There,a boy was crying andstruggling tofree himself in black muck （污泥）.Farmer Fleming saved the boy out of the bog.

The next day,an unusual carriagepulled upto the Scotsman's house.A well-dressed gentlemanstepped outandintroduced himself asthe father of the boy that farmer fleming had saved.

“I want to repay you,” said the gentleman, “You saved my son’s life.”

“No,I can’t accept money for what I did,”the Scottish farmer replied,waving off the offer.At that moment,the farmer's own son came to the door of the family hovel（不适宜居住的小屋）.

“Is that your son?” the gentleman asked.“Yes,” the farmer replied proudly.

“I'llmake you a deal.Let me provide himwith the level ofeducation my own son will enjoy.If the boy is anything like his father,he'll no doubt grow to be a man we both will be proud of.”And that he did.

Farmer Fleming's son attended the best schools and in time,graduated fromSt.Mary's Hospital Medical School in London,and went on to become known in the world as the famous Sir Alexander Fleming,the discoverer of Penicillin （青霉素）.

Years afterward,the gentleman's son who was saved from the bog caught pneumonia（肺炎）.

What saved his life this time?Penicillin.

The name of the gentleman?Lord Randolph Churchill.His son's name?Sir Winston Churchill.
