MIIT: 8 Nonferrous Metals Enterprises Listed as Pilot Sites for Brand Cultivatio

MIIT released “Notice on Deepening Pilot Work of Industrial Enterprises for Brand Cultivation” (hereinafter referred to as “Notice”).According to the notice, the Technology Department of MIIT, on the basis of the requirements of “Notice on Implementing Pilot Work of Industrial Enterprises for Brand Cultivation”(GONGXINTINGKEHAN [2011] No.719),organized experts to review the plans on pilot work submitted by pilot enterprises and presented recommendations for the enterprises.The Technology Department, together with other relevant departments, defined 141 industrial enterprises as pilot enterprises for brand cultivation after the review. Amongst the nonferrous metals enterprises that apply for pilot site, the following 8 enterprises have been shortlisted, i.e. Daye Nonferrous Metals Co.,Ltd., Foshan Nanhai Huahao Aluminum Extrusion Co., Ltd., Fujian Nanping Aluminum Co.,Ltd., Guangdong Jianmei Aluminum Profile Co., Ltd., Henan Yuguang Gold and Lead Group Co., Ltd, Jilin Midas Aluminum Products Co., Ltd., Sichuan Guanghan Sanxing Aluminum Industrial Co., Ltd. and Zhejiang Dongqing Hi-tech Welding Wires Co., Ltd.

The Notice requires pilot enterprises to implement their own “pilot work plan” according to the requirements of “Notice on Implementing Pilot Work of Industrial Enterprises for Brand Cultivation” and “Notice on Pilot Work for Brand Cultivation and Convening Training Seminars”. By the end of this May, the brand cultivation strategy should be improved; brand cultivation objective and function should be defined; the process of brand cultivation should be sorted and brand cultivation management system should be established and perfected. By the end of this August, pilot enterprises should complete the self-evaluation of brand cultivation capability and work out self-evaluation report. In September and October, the Technology Department authorizes an expert team to evaluate brand cultivation capabilities of pilot enterprises. And the evaluation will be carried out by the means of file evaluation, i.e., evaluating self-evaluation reports and confirming materials submitted by pilot enterprises. The team will carry out on-site evaluation and survey for outstanding pilot enterprises as well as summarize typical experience and good cases.
